David Kao, PA-C
David Kao is an NCCPA board certified Physician Assistant specializing in Primary, Urgent and Emergency Medicine. A graduate from Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus, Mr. Kao has been practicing Emergency Medicine at several Level I Trauma Centers for 17 years. During this tenure, Mr. Kao has delivered the highest quality care to his patients with the greatest compassion and professionalism. He also provided mentor-ship to medical students, interns and residents. Most recently, Mr. Kao was intimately involved in the COVID 19 crisis response for the Northwell Health System developing the safety plans and Personal Protective Equipment selections. Mr. Kao served as the Operational Safety Officer at our nation’s first COVID screening site located in New Rochelle, NY and multiple sites thereafter.
Additionally, Mr. Kao was the senior medial officer for the New York Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Rapid Deployment Team and New York Police Department’s Emergency Service Unit (ESU). He also was a member of the Disaster Medical Assistance Team of New York and was deployed numerous times nationally, to natural disasters and other special events that required a specialized asset to be on site for quick response in case of an emergency.
